Many RVs do not charge the chassis battery when connected to shore power. Check to see if it should be charging the chassis battery. If it does not, consider installing a Tril-L-Start that will divert a portion of the charge going to the House batteries to the Chassis one. Good luck

Periodically start your coach just like when you leave it in storage. This will also set up up to do periodic system checks such as oil levels, tire pressure, coolenet, etc

DO NOT start you coach when it is in storage, unless you can drive it at least 25 miles to get the engine and transmission up to operating temp.

Add a trik-L-start to the engine batteries.

They should not have died, you probably have something on. My coach is 10 years old never had a problem til rv world left both dash fans on and the radio it killed them deader than a door nail.

Like mentioned, it's very possibly it's not designed to charge the starter batteries from the shore power. You can add an echo charger, similar to the picture here. Simple to connect to your batteries.

I used an Amp-l-Start, a slightly more robust product from the same company as Trick-l-charge.

It was hooked to the house batteries that were continually charged by the inverter. It is impossible to drain the house batteries with this device, built in protection.
Only three wires - a ground, one to the house battery and one to the chassis battery. system has LEDs to show status.

The Fleetwood coaches DO charge the chassis batteries from shore power, so something is wrong with canefin's. The Battery Control Center (BCC) will enable charging of the chassis batteries once the house batteries reach a certain minimum (typically 13.3v), so a bad house battery may not ever reach that level. Also, if the battery disconnect or inverter/charger is shut off, the house batteries may not ever charge.
Call Fleetwood Customer Service and ask about your particualr year & model of coach.

I cannot believe that a 2017 model is not wired so that your coach batteries and your chassis batteries are not getting a trickle charge. I would ask your dealer if that is suppose to be that way and if not get it taken care under warranty.

I can vouch for the Echo Charger. easy install, performs like a champ.

I have been dealing with Fleetwood on this and the service center LeMesa in port st Lucie Florida. Fleetwood will not warranty the batteries at this point. To see, I was away in keys when all this happened and had a portable tech replace the original starter batteries and the 200 amp fuse that blew when I tried the auxiliary button. At this time its getting worked on at service center but they can't figure out right now I'm assuming. I have other issues they are working on too while its in shop. The techs at LeMesa are pretty bad and I've been back n forth 3 to 4 times for same issue all covered under warranty.

My 2005 Fleetwood Excursion does not charge the chassis batteries when plugged in. The mfg changes things as time goes on.

Having said that, you have some sort of draw on your batteries. There are a couple of ways to handle it.
1. Put a trickle charger on it when plugged in
2. Spend a lot of time trying to find the draw
3. Are you playing the dash radio? On mine it runs off of the chassis batteries and if parked for long enough without running the engine, it will draw down the starting batteries.
4. Put a real battery disconnect on the starting batteries so nothing will draw power from them. You should have this for storage or disconnect the negative battery cables.
5. If you're going to sit for a long time, disconnect the negative battery cable until you figure out the power draw. About 90 seconds with a wrench saves a lot of aggravation.
