Some RV manufacturers use black wires for the + side. This is confusing for sure. I used some red nail polish on the + wire terminals to id the hot wires.

In my battery bay Winnebago used black covering on ALL cables. It didn't take long to find a can of red paint though. That was a disaster waiting to happen.

Most of the dash lights come on, but not the "Wait to Start" or the pushbuttons for the Allison transmission shift selections. The fuel gauge does not operate either. Have checked all the fuses I can find and all appear good. Ignition relays "click" when key is turned on. I don't think it is an ignition switch problem. Kind of ran out of everything I can think of to try so any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
I have that very same Motorhome. My question is what batties did you replace? If you replaced the engine start batteries? Sometime isn't connected or something isn't connected correctly. A big help would be a photo of the batteries tealy

I replaced all the batteries. If I had turned off the battery disconnect switches before changing this may not have happened.

Still hard to imagine blowing all those fuses when disconnecting all the ground cables first and reconnecting them last however if you also have a main battery disconnect then its best to hit that first before changing batteries.

Glad you got it figured out and hope that down the road those same fuses don't blow again due to some other issue.
