Anyone know what kind they are? Have two for starting the coach. 12 or 6 volt?

If you peel back the plastic sheets on top you can often remove the caps and check the water.

The bird description applies to basically any monaco/Hr line that uses the bird device. There are a couple of generations of it but they work the same for arguments sake. The schematic on my one post is specific and you can zoom in to the bottom right to identify which models it applies to.

The large solenoid that is controlled by the bird and auxillary start button is a known failure item. It can become intermittent. Much like the "salesmans switch solenoid" that is often in the front run panel.

Check out the picture of the dissassembled solenoid. This one had minor problems. I have seen them thick with green goo inside.
