I’d just open the door in my bedtime attire and invite them in.
I don’t wear pajamas.
In 40 years of traveling never had a knock on the door.

Thread Warning!
Many post have been edited or removed for bringing guns into the conversation. There are plenty of other forums to discuss guns and this is not one of them.
Thanks to those posting within the rules.

If a deadbolt on the door & 2 motivated dogs inside isn't enough security, I'd reevaluate my parking priorities.

Mr. Community Administrator, are the limitations imposed your personal thoughts and needs or are they actually in written forum in the by-laws of the forum?

I keep a Lifelite handy and it works well up to 60 feet.

Thieves don't need to rob motor homes. They can just walk inside Walmart and take what they want up to $1000 with no threat of jail time.

I saw a small solar motion light that had a magnetic mount that could be easily removed on travel days. The magnetic mount was held in place with some 3M tape. Anyone know where you can get these lights from?

We have a standard poodle. He is the most lovable dog you have ever known. He will jump on you, and try to lick you to death. However, when something startles him hw barks up a storm. Funny he sounds meaner and bigger than he is. We also call him the doorbell. He reacts before the person visiting is near the stairs. Hence, get a noisey dog.

Staying Safe
RELAX. Crooks and other bad guys know that RVs are unlikely to have anything worth the effort! We don’t travel with a lot of diamond jewelry or a briefcase full of stocks and cash.
In thirty years of RV travel we have had one “incident”. Parked in a lot near the Seattle convention center, a serious drunk fell against the side of our coach and woke us. I yelled “[Mod Edit]”. He staggered away!

I like what a retired police officer said on TV the other night:" Better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.
