I've had hit and miss with the beads. Sometimes OK and other times had to spin balance. In the future, I will either spin balance or try the Centramatics, as I have heard very good reports about them . No more beads for my vehicles.

Centramatics for me. I have them on all three axles. Not balancing the rears is foolish, even if you don't feel any difference, they will wear unevenly. For those who find the Centramatics too expensive, I would install beads at a minimum. They're constantly rebalancing the tires each time you drive, versus a spin balance which can change over time or throw a weight.

Sorry, I have Counteract Beads, not Centramatics. Having said that, they do a VERY GOOD job.

X2 on the Centramatics. It just makes sense balancing the whole brake drum, tire and spindle.

Theoretically, beads do exactly that.

Les Schwab for me , just got a set for the wives car. Ran them on the last MH and on the present plus the 4-runner. Maybe not the cheapest but close. But the service is outstanding. Always yes sir no sir not a problem sir. Took a whole 20 minutes for the wives tires, I couldn't even get through the free popcorn and they said they were done.

I do not know if others have had that issue. I do know that when it comes time for me to get new tires it won't be with beads.

I am on my 3rd MH since I changed to Equal or beads. On the first 2 I used Equal with the special valve cores. Worked great and no valve issues. On the 3rd MH I had new tires installed at the time of purchase. I told the dealer I wanted Equal with the special valve cores,. When i came to pick up the MH the dealer told me he installed beads and I would not have valve core problem with them.
Almost immediately i started having valve core problems. I picket up 6 special cores and installed them. That was 6 years ago and no valve core problems since. The beads work just as good as the powder did.

We are gong to stop at Centramatics and get them on the steer tires. We had them on a pickup years ago and you could feel the difference. They are located south of Dallas so reasonably central and no charge for installing.

+1 I also put Centramatics front and rear. It is nice to not have to worry about balancing ever again. No special valves, no new beads when new tires are put on. A one time permanent fix and it balances the entire rotating mass.

Each method works, spin balancing, beads, or centramatics. I've also heard of people using RV antifreeze in their tires with good results. Each method has successful results. It's mostly personal preference. If one method works for you, keep using it. If not try another.

As you hear from everyone, you need to balance your tires. I put on a mercury based wheel balancer on the steer tires. I think it is called Balance Master. We felt a difference right away. We really like them!

Many truckers put two golf balls in steers with great results. Not something I would do, but they are happy.

When I had new Bridgestones installed on the front I had them spin balanced. About 2 months later I was getting ready to leave on a trip, moved the coach to the street in front of the house. I noticed something underneath, the weights had come off and were laying underneath. The aluminum rims don't have a what to used the weights that are hammered onto the rim, they used stick on weights which did not last that long.
I didn't take the coach back but I didn't really notice a big difference and after +50K miles the tires have worn evenly and the ride is good.
I did used beads when I had the rear tires installed.
