Step light

The step light on my 2001 Monaco Dynasty won’t go out on the dash, everyone says there’s a micro switch on the step that needs adjustment it replaced. I can’t fine one on there anywhere.
Thanks in advance . .

While I believe there is only 1 or 2 step manufacturers, it would probably be good if we knew whose step you have.

Lippert is one of the manufacturers. Once that is known, then the manual can be found that will likely identify the culprit.

Monaco liked to use a small magnetic switch for dash indicators, like the TV antenna. I would first look at all the wiring and see what goes to the motor and where other wires go, leading you to a switch.

On our 05 Dynasty we had the same issue with the step light. The switch was located on top of one of the guides, not easy to spot, and had come loose. It had been secured only with some double sided tape. Our steps were the dual type that slid out from the body.
