Steps for wife to access Motor Home Bed

I just bought a new 10" foam mattress for our class A MH. My wife has always had difficulty getting into bed at night because of her height. This new mattress has made this task even more difficult. Do any of you have this problem? I am interested in solutions you have used to tackle it. I am thinking some type of mini-step placed at the bedside would be a solution. Does anyone out there have this problem? What are your solutions? Thanks.

I don't know anything about your coach, so I have questions.

Is your bed on a slide?

Can you walk around her side?

If it's on a slide and the slides are in, does the bed touch anything?

How muck over hang does the mattress have past the base frame?

I made a couple of floor raisers by screwing pieces of 2x4 to 3/4 plywood and covering with I/O carpeting. Sized them to put the solid sides on the end so they are not toe grabbers and the carpet protects the walls where it is rolled over the edges and stapled inside/under the exposed parts.

FWIW they blend will with the existing carpet so they could also be a good place to stash items out of view.

We move an ottoman from the sofa to the end of the bed at night.

Home Depot has a small 2-step stool that should do nicely. $11.00
