Stop Engine SPN 1387 FMI 14
I got a red Stop Engine light on my 8.9 ISL400 with a code SPN 1387 FMI 14. According to Cummins quickserve that's a fault code 1538 (Auxiliary Pressure Sensor Input 1 - Special Instructions) which the Cummins website says isn't a valid code for my engine's ESN.
The Stop Engine light stays on with the key on even before starting the engine, so the ECM sees a problem before the engine even starts.
I can't find anything online about the SPN/FMI combination or the Cummins code 1538.
Since coolant level sensors are always suspect for Stop Engine, I removed mine and tested dry and submersed in coolant. When dry, my dash displays "Low Coolant", so it looks like that sensor works.
Has anyone seen this before?
thanks.

How did you get the fault code?
I did a quick search and did not find that combination of code.
You might try changing your fuel filters, that's pretty much the advice whenever you have something going on.

I can get the codes on the instrument panel. The process is described in the Dynasty user manual.
Here's the pic of the code:

Forgot to mention that I did just change the fuel filters and transmission filters/fluid. The Stop Engine light didn't appear while I was running to purge the Allision of air and to make sure the fuel filters didn't leak. The light didn't come on until during the first acceleration on the road.

This says it's a fuel rail fault code.
https://www.blog-teknisi.com/2018/10...code-2249.html
And that code is related to this code...... 2249 Injector Metering Rail 1 Pressure - Data Valid but Below Normal Operational Range - Most Severe Level
It sure looks like your issue is more than likely related to your fuel filter change. Did you prefill them before installation. You may now have air in the line. I've never bled fuel lines before, but maybe someone can jump in.
Typically, the code will clear after five restarts where the coach has been run/driven for more than five minutes. If the issue has cleared during the five restarts the light will go out. Unfortunately, you have a stop engine light versus a non-emergent light.

I used up all my Google-fu skills came up empty. A couple SPN 1387 were called/named redundant sensors but no FMI 14. Wondering can MH manufacture assign codes in the ECM to look at their added sensors. FMI-14 did show as Allison code but I imagine that would show in allison TCM/pouch pad retrieved codes.

The fault code turned out to be commins 256lrv (according to Insite), and, in fact, the crankcase pressure sensor the code pointed to was bad. I replaced the sensor, but the documentation (and the coach) says the red light & derate won't be cleared until reset by Insite. Well, their procedure for clearing via Insite doesn't work, because it's the same procedure used for non-latched faults---I think their documentation is incorrect.
Why Cummins/Monaco added a crankcase pressure sensor to an engine with a slobber tube is beyond me. Worse is that the fault is latched and can't be cleared by fixing the problem!
For some reason, the "Reset All Faults" menu option on Insite is greyed out, and that's the only way I know to reset an 'active' fault without reflashing the ECM.

Ran into this a couple years age, had a Mack dealership come to make some changes to my Allison, area's grayed out like mentioned, they had to send the tech to school and then get the software refreshed for it to work, came back couple weeks later and made the changes I wanted.......

I still don't understand how monitoring crankcase pressure with an open breather tube will do any good--If it was a sealed PCV system I see how it would work.
BTW, I had to reflash the ECM to get rid of the code 296.
