We do not have an extended warranty. Good Sams cuts them off if you have over 80,000 miles or if the coach is over 15 years old. We have 82,000 now on it. I have to tell you though, I was sure thinking about it as we followed the tow truck to the Cat service center. Nobody wants to pay $20,000 for another engine. I was surprised to see that at least 6 trucks in there had there engines removed and a couple looked like they were getting replaced with new ones. We've all seen trucks broken down along the highways, but until you go to a truck service center you don't realize just how many of them are broken down. Of course these guys are putting the miles on them that us MH owners will never do.

When I was in for service at Freightliner of Utah last June I commented to my tech about the hundreds of road tractors arrayed in their lot area. How long will it take to sell all these? He assured me that all of them were already sold, and there would have been far more waiting here if they had space. He claims these trucks easily average 125K to 250K+ per year, and large fleet operators start rotating them out at about 400K, so there's an endless flow of new tractors coming online and 2-4 year-old half-million-mile tractors moving down scale. Astounding.
