Your magnetic switch will look like a round piece of plastic about the size of a nickle. There will be the switch in the door jam and the mate to it in the door so that they position themselves over each other when the door is closed.

The carter key and pin can be accessed. I used a electricians screwdriver to straighten the bend of the carter key. Then take the screwdriver and put in the loop of the carter key and slide out. Then take the screwdriver and bump on the head of the pin and it should slide out. The pin will have a little pressure on it. You may have to get a piece of steel rod about 18" long to work in to the head of the pin to bump the pin out, It is tight, but can be done.
An electrician screwdriver will have a shaft around 8" to 10" long. The screwdriver and a 1/4 inch round rod or key stock can both be had from a hardware store or big box hardware store. These are essential in the coach tool kit for the road also.

I just went thru this. Turned out to be poor contact between the male and female plug contacts. I disconnected the plug at the motor and slightly twisted the male end metal contacts. Maybe 2-3 degrees, to create a tighter connection. Seems to have solved the problem.
