Lights off then goes out...that is Flame Proving Signal Failure
Not the Gas Valve
Not the Thermostats (come as a set)
Could be circuit board but new one didn't fix it so NO
Spark Electrode has DUAL purpose
It supplies the High Voltage for ignition of the propane
*Gas valve and electrode get DC at same time
When Flame lights the spark electrode is used as return path for the milliamp signal generated by flame rectification.
This milliamp signal is sensed by the circuit board---no flame signal return then DC gets dropped off gas valve so raw fuel doesn't accumulate
Return the gas valve
Return the set of thermostats
Return the circuit board
Buy new spark electrode
Throwing parts at a problem will eventually fix the problem
BUT at what costs
Simple troubleshooting is cheaper and easy to do
****I would be very hesitant to have NAY work preformed by that RV Dealer!!!!
Suburban Spark Electrode
https://pdxrvwholesale.com/products/...e-232258%20%20
Could just be dirty electrode...soot/carbon build up----clean electrode using emery cloth
Could just be loose/dirty wire connection...unplug from electrode/clean both ends/then tighten/reinstall
Could be cracked ceramic insulator...replace spark electrode
Could be wire is loose inside the ceramic insulator...replace
could be spark gap...adjust 1/8" - 3/16"
Easiest is to replace it
But not gas valve (or there would be NO flame)
But not thermostat (or there wouldn't have been a flame---thermostat controls firing but when bad they don't allow ANY firing or don't Stop the firing)
But not circuit board (sometimes the vlave circuit fails but then you would not have flame)
Flame lighting off thengoing out----FLAME PROVING---Spark ELectrode Circuit
