Suggestions for selling motorhome?

Hi,

I am at a loss on what to do regarding my MH. I am trying to get it sold, and possibly it is the worst time of year to sell it, but I am shocked at the lack of interest.

Wondering if I am missing any avenues or resources that I should be looking at?

[Moderator Edit]

NADA shows low 67K, Average 80K, so I have it listed at 69K and am negotiable on it. There is one other of the same year listed at a dealership for 85K.

Since listing it a month ago (which admittedly is not a long time) I have gotten 3 emails
1 - quick question about the AC, never responded after I replied
2 - quick question about warranty (which it has), never responded after I replied
3 - was interested, but then saw the floorplan in person at the dealer and didnt work for his needs (it has bunkbeds, and he is single so surprised he even looked at it in the first place)

I have it listed [Moderator Edit] here in the classifieds.

Just looking for honest feedback - am I overpriced, am I marketing it in the wrong locations? Is there more I should be doing? Am I simply at the wrong time of year to get it sold?

I am wanting to order a new RV that would take 5-6 months to build, but the wifey doesn't want to order it until we have this one sold. So this keeps pushing it out.

Not sure about price w/o doing some research...sounds like you are being reasonable... I felt the same w/ recent sale but dropped it a few times to finally get it sold.

I'd add RVT.com - also used them and had a fair amount of traffic - maybe the most of all that I had it on and RVT has a free option so no risk.

See other post for suggestions - I'd say cleaning & staging & photos play a BIG role in attraction interest. I had interest but folks were reluctant to travel to see it. I guess it depends on whether there are good competing units close to interested buyers or not - hard to predict

If I had to guess - and only a guess - I'd say bunks may be an issue w/ a large portion of folks - but admit it may be desirable for others

Good luck w the sale

Thanks, I just added RVT and Waiting for Approval.

I did take awesome photos and stage. Honestly wish I had staged it while I was using it, looks amazing! Of course RVTrader lowers the quality of the pictures so they don't come out AS sharp but they still look nice. As for the cleaning, that's normal for me, I detail the heck out of it after every trip. I spent 2 days after giving it a wash detailing every nook and cranny with Slick Mist (spray wax) that made it look like a rolls coming off the line :P

As my old friend Bill (R.I.P. Willie) used to say. "there's a butt for every seat". Keep plugging and the one will show up. I don't think you're out of the ballpark price wise.

I agree with using RVT and LOTS of pictures. Don't assume anything. Make sure you spell out everything.

Do a search on both RVT and RV Trader for the same make model with plus and minus 2 years from yours. Then rank order by price and see where yours ranks.

Have lots of patience. It only takes one buyer, but you will have to put up with lots of tire kickers and scam artists from Craigs List.
Best of luck!
