My pad is 20'x55' with a metal garage 17'6" at it's peak. I poured 4k to 5k psi on a clay base 8" thick with fiber and steel. Expansion joints cut every 15' and "slicked" for easy work under coach. As I read this thread it made me think about the psi issue and I'd rely on the concrete experts here to help me understand. My coach is about 40k pounds with 8 tires on the ground. I measured the foot print for each tire and came up with about 90 square inches per tire or about 720 square inches total for the coach. That gives me about 55 psi for the coach. Why is 4-5k psi the "holy grail" for concrete pads?
