Sumitomo tires
Any comments on sumitoma truck tire 275/70 22.5 16ply. Has anyone had issues with this tire? I am going to try two on the front of my 2004 Newmar kountry star with a spartan chassis.

Sumitomo is a good tire, as are Toyo, Yokohama, Ohtsu, Michelin, Goodyear, General, Firestone, Dunlop, Continental, and Bridgestone.

I've been running 6 of them (Sumitomo 727 series) size 275/70R22.5 since August 2009 with no problems. They still look like new with no cracks or wear patterns.
I'd use them again.

I have 6 st727 on my 3908 and would buy again. I have a small constuction co. and have some sumo. 24.5 size on a few dump trucks and have had good luck with sumitomo tires. I run what will hold up for the least amount of money. I would not endanger my granddaughters life on motorhome tires if i had not tested them on some of my trucks & trailers.

I have a pair of these tires on the front of our 2004 Newmar Dutch Star. Great tires. Much better handling than the Michelins that thay replaced.

Mine have been fine. But be sure to check out the speed ratings. While I would agree that 65 is fast enough, I would have a better comfort level with a tire that has a speed rating higher than that.

Some of the Sumatomo 727's are rated at 65 mph and the larger sizes are rated at 75 mph according to my chart.

forgot to mention on my earlier post - 2 of 4 smitomo'es are on front now. my 2x 3 year old brigestone's were moved from front to left rear. at the end of next 3-4 years, i will get 2 more sumitomo'es and put them on front and rotoate the older ones to the same place where brigestones sit now. this way i will always have tires on front no older than 4 years .
