I recently bought a 2008 Tiffin Allegro, 32LA and want to install Sumo Springs. Is this something a dealership will install or should a suspension specialists do it?

What chassis do you have? and why do you want to install Sumo's? any one with the tools can install them. It depends on the chassis.

Dealer can do it it is no big deal to install them.

If you can run a electric drill and two 9/16 wrenches, you can install them yourself, in about an hour and a half. I installed mine in a hour, both front and rear. Piece of cake to do, huge difference in ride,worth every penny.

I also installed my own and made it more difficult than it really is. Doubt I could do it in an hour but easily within a couple of hours. If attempting it yourself, check the back side of the frame for any wires or brake lines. Had to push some things out of the way when drilling. Also, double check the clearances on the rear springs. I had to order a different set of upper brackets because of the sway bar connecting rod. Not a bid deal, but would have hated to take it somewhere and find out once I got there they did not fit properly. Made a big difference.

To answer your original question, which ever is less expensive.

Thank you for the answers/advice everyone - it sounds like the sumo springs ARE the right way to go to limit side to side sway! Since my husband was the mechanic - not me - I've got to find a shop to install them. Can anyone in the Sacramento area recommend a shop?

They will help with the lean in curves but will cause a rougher ride. They are basically helper springs to help with overloading. I tried them and couldn't handle the harsher ride and returned them.

No idea why yours gave you a harsher ride mine smoothed everything out. Love them.

My friend with an identical Sightseer '08 29R had Sumos installed in Sept. '16 by Hendersons's Line-Up and drove back from Oregon with nothing but praise. I had previously installed 1-3/4" Roadmaster sway bar in front (replaced stock) and added the Roadmaster 1-3/4" to rear with SuperSteer rear trac bar and Koni FSD's all around. I was REALLY happy with the upgrades, but after my friend added the same PLUS Sumos, I thought I'd do the same after a 7500 mile trip in Sept/Oct. Ends up that the Sumo's installed on my friends 18K chassis were intended for the 20-22K chassis (slightly taller, more load ability especially for rears). Chassis sits 1/2" taller (level), that's ok. Ride is firm, not too stiff. IMPORTANT: be sure you call Sumo for correct PN before purchasing! And if you install yourself, be EXTRA sure to check the inside of the frame rail before drilling ... especially driver's rear that carries a wiring loom. BTW, if you're comfortable with tools (and have the right ones), all these upgrades are not too difficult for DIYer. I saved enough to purchase and install 5-Star tune and full Banks. I have no issue with Henderson's .... they've done great work with alignment and other stuff over the years.

Wow, this is now a bitchen ride! I am a happy camper.
