Plugged in to 30 amp service at my house running one air unit (Winnebago SunCruiser). Sounds to me like the surge protector is clunking after about an hour running the a/c unit. Did not do it at rv park on 50 amp service.

Can you get to the surge protector to check for codes ?
What brand S/P do you have ?
Was the 30 amp , at the house when you moved in , or did you have it installed ?

We need more information at your house:
What's the voltage at the receptacle? (use a voltmeter, don't guess)
What size wire? ( it will say on the insulation "X" AWG)
How far from the receptacle to the breaker?

Is your surge protector and EMS like Progressive, which is also checking for low voltages, hertz variances, missing neutrals, etc? Or some other brand more simpler high voltage spike protector?
