Surge protector recommendation
Hi all. Could you please recommend a surge protector for our 2013 Itasca Meridian which requires 50 AMP power supply. TRC Surge Guard vs Progressive Industry?

I have had the Progressive Industries 50 amp model (hard wired) for about 5 years, very pleased with the unit. Would buy the same one again.

I had the TRC Surge Guard first. I sold it and bought the Progressive industires EMs HW-50C. I also installed the A/B Switch with a second display.
The PI unit is by far the best in that market with great customer service and a lifetime warranty.
I never leave home without it!

PI here as well.....wouldn't head out on the road without protecting the electrical components.

Thank you. I assume this works if the campground has only 30AMP. I do have pig tail adaptor from 50 amp to 30 amp.

I've had the TRC Surge Guard (hard wired) for four years and have been completely satisfied. I installed it myself.

The PI 50Amp Surge Protector works just fine using a 30 to 50 adapter. Have had mine for 5 years and have used it in 30 amp situations many times.

I have the same TRC and also installed it myself. If it ever fails I will replace it with the PI unit.

I have the Progressive unit... Its American made with a life time warranty.... I got the hardwired unit so I'd have peace of mind about theft... It's already saved my bacon at least three times and saved me thousands of dollars...
I'd never plug my rig in without one....

This guy is tops when it comes to customer care. We have a Progressive Ind 50 amp portable. Did not want a built in since we were not sure we would keep this MH.
He answers his own emails and will help you figure out problems associated with electrical issues

Thank you all. I had ordered a TRC without talking to you based on a video I had seen on youtube from Camping World. I just canceled my order and ordered a PI based on majority of recommendations.
This forum is great, specially for people like me who are new to this life style.
Thanks again.
