Sweeper

Does anyone have a recommendation for a cordless vacuum/sweeper for the coach ? I’ve used a max sweep but they fail quickly. We’ve been through 4 or 5 in just a few years

We have a Shark Rocket Stick vacuum. It does an excellent job.

Dyson makes some nice ones but they are pricey. My son has one in his toy box and his wife really likes it.

Also recommend a Dyson. Yes they are more expensive than most of the others, but they're really good.

The Dyson is pricy, but you seem to get a easy to use, powerful long lasting unit. I own 3 of them, and if they should ever fail, will buy another one.

I've got a Dyson V7 and it does a decent job, but the D handle is on the small side. If I put all 4 fingers in the handle it jams the knuckle of my thumb into the bottom of the motor. It's not a deal breaker, I use 3 fingers or deal with it. But it is something that Dyson could have done better with very little additional cost.

Dyson.

Put charger stations in both the coach and the house. Use one Dyson, just move it to where we are living.

Never cease to marvel at how much dirt the Dyson picks up.

Check out the Dirt Devil cordless model, it has outstanding suction and reasonable battery life. My cousin said it outperforms her Dyson cordless. It only costs about $120.

I too, am not a Dyson fan.... There are others as good, at a cheaper purchase price...

I bought a Dyson for my home... I forget the model. It was expensive, had a lot of flimsy plastic parts, and felt pretty cheap to me for the money spent..

Oh well, it's supposed to be the best...!! It lasted about a year....

I didn't want to pay to have it fixed, so I took it apart myself... fairly easy, simple machine.. but as suspected, also many cheap plastic parts..

I found a couple problems and the prices for the parts I could get were stupid expensive, so it went into the trash..

I bought a competitor's product... very similar, including the cheap plastic parts, but a much cheaper purchase point...

The wife thinks the the newer, cheaper vacuum actually has better suction, and it has lasted twice as long as the Dyson and still working..

So shop around, there are many decent vacuums out there that don't cost an arm & a leg....

PS- I have had good service form a couple different Dirt Devil products

For me, the thing that made the most sense is the Milwaukee M18 Compact vacuum. This only works if you already have their tools, since it's only cheap for the bare tool. Works for me, since I carry several other Milwaukee tools anyway. This thing is powerful, and appears to be plenty tough. It spent a lot of time vacuuming up all sorts of metal shavings before it got moved into the RV, and doesn't seem to care. I'm sure it's bulkier than some, but similar sized to a Dyson. $100.
