THANKS to our iRV2 EXPERTS!!

Several tire threads ago, I mentioned that I had tires from 2005, but with only 11,000 miles on them, so would try to get a new set in the spring.

Almost to a man, the brethren chided and warned me about not trusting tires that old. A few photos got posted about blow-outs just to seal the opinion.

Long story short, yesterday saw a whole new set of 6 tires put onto the MH, after which I added TST TPMS to all the tires. There was virtually nothing to gain from waiting, and the downside risk was substantial.

THANKS to those that nudged me towards being a responsible MH owner

You did the right thing. Nudging is only 50%. You have to do the other 50%.

Its sites like this one where information is shared that can really make a difference. Before reading that tires should be swapped out I might have, like my parents, kept the tires on till they wore out or blew out. The things we learn.....amazing

I saw this thread after I searched for tires and posted my own thread. I went to buy tires yesterday and was told they are not available. Neither Michelin or Good Year in sizes for my motorhome. So much for being safe, I may be sorry and will not know what to do if I have to get one on the road.

UM...when my wife nudges, it is 100% guarantee that I better put in 100% to get it done otherwise there is 0% chance of peace and harmony. LOL

OP...ya done good doing the right thing. No guarantee you won't have a tire problem but you greatly reduced the chances.
