I have been lusting after a new 2016 Tiffin 36LA on a 24K Ford chassis. It's just about perfect for us. The only issue is handling on the freeway. When reaching 55 or so this motorhome seems to wander a bit within the lane, and that's with virtually no wind. I don't know if this is because of geometry or something like the length and weight of structure that is behind the rear wheels. I've driven Workhorse chassis on older coaches and they seem to track very well. I will not enjoy this if the driving is exhausting. The few diesels I've driven also track very well. Is this just the way it is or can this problem be corrected. I would have to go to a used diesel, and my better half greatly prefers a new coach, which price mandates will be a gas chassis. If you've had first hand experience with this issue I'd love to hear your thoughts.

If you don't like driving it, get the dealer to fix it or don't buy it. Start with tire pressure, most dealers don't do a great job of keeping tires properly inflated.

Ive found that most tires are over inflated but start with getting the coach weighed at all four corners and set pressures according to the tire manufacturers charts. From there, you could have your alignment checked and make sure the toe is set properly. If that doesnt do it I would recommend a safe T steer. If its only minor wandering, those three things should make it track like a dream.

I had the same problem with my 2015 36la as OP. Did the CHF and had alignment shop add 1 degree of toe in. Also adjusted tire pressure to 85# per wheel weight chart. Drove 100% better, no more drifting or driver fatigue.

I had my front tires replaced several years ago and they put 110lb in them.

I weigh my RV and Michelin says 85lb for my front axle weight.

I left them at 110lb and drove 200 miles...handling was terrible just as I suspected it would be so that night I dropped them to 85lb and it corrected the handling problem.

So I suggest checking the tire pressure.
