We love to find "parks" like that when we're working. I don't have to do as much clean up on the car or coach on my weekends off.

Some of these dust bowls are a pain to keep anything clean. Boondocking and working 12 hour days, 6 days a week don't really go hand in hand.

I'll take a park like that any day.

I wanted a large RV for the kids and I, (with 1.5 restrooms), but I didn't want to own and maintain a pickup truck or large SUV. That's my real reason.

The primary reason my family started camping was to go to visit other parts of the country without having to stay in a hotel. Who knows what diseases the previous person had in that shared bed, let along what's in the carpeting. We moved up the RV food chain from tent trailers to travel trailers to motorhomes as we grew used to comfort and conveniences.

We like to make little passports and get stamps in 'em. Whenever we get to a new Cracker Barrell we get it stamped and sit out front on the rocking chairs 'n read 'em.
Our memory's failing so it's new each time!

Friends of ours live in Hawaii, he's a retired dentist. He comes over here for the summer and goes home for the winter!
He's also a "member" on IRV

Since we live in Hawaii and spend summers in Alaska fishing, it was the perfect choice for us after renting class C's for about 5 years. Bought our Safari Simba ten years ago and just traded up to a DP (Itasca Meridian 36'). We have more time now so this is our home away from home.

To each their own. I don't see a tree big enough to provide shade for a small dog. We spend more time riding our Harleys so our destinations usually involve scenic roads and good places to ride, most of those places include bigger trees than what I can see here. Just not my idea of a getaway thats all.

What's really "strange" is that we met them at a NW rally a few years ago, then again at 7 Feathers in OR at another NW rally. One evening we were talking and Lorraine said Lloyd had been a dentist. My wife than mentioned our dentists (for 25 years) name and it turns out they were both in college together and good friends.
At another rally we went out to dinner with Lloyd and Lorraine and three other couples and one of them had had my mother for a teacher in high school. Then a while later Lloyd must have mentioned it to a friend in HI and it turns out she had also had my mother as a teacher!
Wow, it really is a small world!

It is a small world and fortunately the RV world is compromised of like minded people. Have met very few RV'ers I didn't like.
