after reading several pages of this post. I took my gasser out for a ride and to be honest most of the noise comes from the roll up shades bouncing back and forth other than that not noisy at all but then again the DW was not with me. anyone figure out how to keep shades from bouncing

I keep mine up. You can put Velcro on them also. New ones come with it .

Ditto. Even with Velcro the whole shard assembly rattles. I was thinking of adding extra suspension clips.

They also tend to move from side to side and the velcros no longer align. I can put longer velcros but maybe more mounting clips will keep it in place.

i cut a 4" piece of pool noodle, then cut the cylinder on the radius to the right thickness and insert between window and shade for travel. keeps them quiet and from wearing out the strings

OH good idea gator but i think i will get some of the CPVC insulator (dark Grey) and use it on my door shade as it is the main one that bangs around during driving and is mostly hidden under the door cover on my coach. The CPVC is small enough diameter it should slip easily over the end rod and soft enough to stop the noise.
