2labs- Thank You!

This is the kind of stuff I went to the show to find out! I can't blame the guy at the show TOO much- there were a few other people looking at the same couch and the the other guy had his wife along...

Now that I know about this, I can go to a Newmar dealer (after the show, maybe on a Tuesday so no one else in the world is there) and really hail this down. I don't know what Dad will be up for when, but I'm thinking in a couple of weeks the Dr will let him go out for little trips... like to a RV dealer and I know that would make him feel more "normal". I really like the Idea of getting something new instead of used. And maybe when the custom is done, he could just leave this with me...

Thanks everyone!

336muffin: did you do the lift yourselves or did you have it installed? I assume there are shops out there that would do mods like this???
We do our own mods with help from longtime friends in key places. We are very lucky to have extremely talented friends that will take on a "challenge" as far as custm cabinets, custom inlaid carpet, and so on. Our friends describe our coach as "homey and welcoming". We call it home. There are shops around that can help you make it yours, I feel that is what we have accomplished.

We went with LazBoy recliners. Mainly because one size doesn't necessarily fit all. I'm 6'4 and DW is 5'. So we got rid of the sofa, and purchased recliners that fit us. The loveseat recliners didn't fit either one of us. And we also put in a TV lift cabinet across from the chairs. We're now looking for a loveseat sleeper that we can put in front of the TV cabinet, but no luck as yet.

I pulled the sofa/sleeper and Eurostyle recliner out today and replaced it with a reclining loveseat. We got a great deal on a floor model. We had the table already and it fit perfect. I see a lot of naps in this in the future. Our TV is directly across from it.

That is the exact same one we put in the first time. Very comfortable, but we needed a console for the tv controllers, drinks and magazine storage. We put the first one in our cottage and went with a reclining loveseat w/console.
