If you turn temp set point DOWN (lower then room temp) do you hear the thermostat CLICK?

No Click then thermostat is NOT opening the contacts so A/C Unit is still getting a DC signal
Bad thermostat.

Swap out front and rear a/c thermostats, if problem goes away or moves to front a/c you found your problem.

One all-too-common problem is that something is heating the thermostat, so that it never properly reflects the room temperature. One coach we had placed both the thermostats adjacent to halogen lamps, so whenever the light was o the thermostat never cooled off. In a different RV, one thermostat was on an exterior wall and stayed warm whenever the sun was beating down on that side.

Don't know exactly what your rig is? If you have wall temp sensors one may have gone bad causing the thermostat to think it's a different temperature? Maybe, just a thought. Set up signature line so others will know what you're working on and be able to help more easily.
