After way more time and effort than anyone should ever have to put into spending this much money, I think I've decided to go with the Toyo M143. I wanted the M154s due to the ebalancing feature, but it appears they don't even make that one in a 225 70R 19.5.

The Goodyear G70RV was tempting with the rebate, but there are none to be found in my area, and no idea when they will be available. Even with the rebate, they still can't touch the price of the Toyos. But, it's a moot point anyway if you can't get them.

The other tire I was considering would have been the Michilein which is what I am replacing, but I've decided to go with the Toyos, and take the $300 difference in price (4 tires) and invest in the TST tire monitoring system. The piece of mind of having the monitoring system will help me deal with not having a more popular brand name on the side of my tires.

There is just no way that there is $300 (4 tires total) difference in the quality of these tires. So instead of contributing $300 to Michilein's advertising budget, I think a tire monitoring system will be a much better investment.

Comments welcome if anyone cares to continue to beat this dead horse...I actully enjoy reading stuff like "I would never own anything but brand X" and then "I wouldn't own brand X if you held a gun to my head" in the very next post.

Dmiles: I put a pair of Toyos on the front of my coach this past spring for about the same reason as yours. Cost per "other" brands. Also, over the years, I'd heard nothing but good stuff about the Toyos was another reason. Now if I can, will replace the four rear ones with Toyos and expect to be good for another 7 years or more.

Dmiles, I put Toyo M154s on all six wheels of my Newmar. Since then I have put about 4,000 miles on them. I am happy with the purchase even though I was looking for Michelins which were not to be had in my timeframe.

Anyway they have shown no wear and they handle fine. Originally they seemed a little "squirrely" on the front but either I was imagining it, got used to it, or it disappeared when I put on a Safe-T-Plus steering stabilizer. At any rate I am looking forward to 6 - 7 years of usage.

I put toyo m143's on the front of my F53 this summer (replacing goodyears) and could not be happier. They totally changed the character and handling of the coach. Where before I'd practically pull over to wait out crosswinds, and whaite knockle 2 hands on the wheel when an 18 wheeler came by, now I'm steering 1 handed and it's me passing the trucks.
