A little late to the party here, but You mentioned you travel with two Goldens, we travel with two 60lb Black Mouth Curs in a class A with bunk beds. We converted the lower bunk into a crate/sanctuary for the puppies. They travel in it and sleep in it. It made traveling with them so much easier.

We removed the mattress, curtains, and window knobs. Lined it with 1/4 fiber board, threw in some Kong crate matts and some toys. They love it!
