This should never work

Clogged drain in bathroom sink. Tried my plastic snake, didn't work too short. Removed "P"trap tried the snake again still to short to get to clog. Now what? Wife says we need Drano. Ace HW is 15 miles away one way. I think the clog is where the bath and sink drains meet. Almost out the door when I think I'll try this. My 6ft metal tape down the drain and it cleared. DW is happy and I get an extra beer today.. Life is Good....

You seems to have an unusually short snake.

I have cleared a few with a shop vac. Work excellent to dry/empty copper pipes when soldering used pipes. The expanding garden hose plugs things that have been around forever, probably not use that inside MH.

Hair is what plugs most bathroom drains. There are products out there that dissolve hair. They work.
Got to be careful though on thinwall plastic drainpipe though.

Had a clog where the line turns a 90 past all the fixtures and just before the gray tank. Finally got up on the roof and poured drain cleaner down the vent to get to it.

I'm pretty sure I'd be at Home Depot buying a new tape measure so I could measure the drains I have to replace that would now be plugged with the old tape measure...
