Tiffin VIN #
Hope all is well all!
Looking at an Open Allegro 36LA.
If you provide the VIN# to Tiffin, can they advise what has been done to the vehicle?
Or is there another way to check?
Thank you !

This is a used MH you are speaking of? From a maintenance perspective, the only way they could tell you what's been done to it is if they did the work; but even then, if ownership was still under a different name, they probably would not release the info to you. If it's a trade-in sitting on a lot somewhere, then I'd think you might have an avenue to get a report of what work they might have performed released to you. Otherwise, you are at the mercy of the previous owner.

The VIN would be my go-to source. Best way to find out? Call Tiffin. But Tiffin is only part of it. What chassis manufacturer? Engine manufacturer (engine SN)? Transmission SN? Etc. My guess is that unless the previous owner kept good records, you're not going to get the full history to include any DIY work. But it's worth a try. Nothing to lose.
Good luck

Based on the opening post, it's a Tiffin Allegro Open Road 36LA (Ford F53 Chassis).

The questions I posed were rhetorical for the OP's consideration of agencies to contact and the information he might need (engine SN vs VIN) when discussing the coach's service history. Apologies if that wasn't clear.

Thanks all, doing a walk through this week and see where that goes first.
Yes a used MH, was curious as to warranty and any other work they may have done with the VIN #.
(have to get if Momma's eyes on for approval)
She does likes the floorplan as we been through a few.
If we like what we see we'll go next step with the full inspection.

What year? I believe a year or two around the 2013 models on Ford chassis there was a hitch recall and broken or missing house to chassis welds.

Check the NTSA website to determine if there are any recalls on coach (2019 Tiffin) or chassis (2019 Ford). Or search the site using the VIN
Contact Tiffin Customer Service with the VIN concerning warranty repair history, but they may be unwilling to share the data since you are not the owner (privacy concern)
Request a Carfax (or similar VIN service) but don't be surprised if there is nothing but ownership transfer data. Hardly any RV dealer or service shop reports RV repairs.

Good Morning,
Thank you for reaching out. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide service history to subsequent owners. If you are in the process of purchasing a used motorhome, we strongly recommend having a third-party inspector conduct a thorough evaluation of the vehicle to identify any potential defects. This will help ensure your protection as a consumer and provide you with valuable information that may not have been disclosed by the seller.
If you would like to proceed with an inspection, we recommend visiting the NRVIA website, where you can find a qualified inspector.

Shawn,
This has been discussed in many threads across this forum. Basically, should owners, dealers, manufacturers provide a potential buyer service/warranty records on a used coach?
The answers have been all over the spectrum.
When I sold my used Newmar in a private sale I provided what information I had. When I bought my used Tiffin at a dealer, they stripped all records that had the past owner's name from the coach.
Can you say why Tiffin - as a manufacturer - does not provide the records that it has? Does Tiffin see it as a privacy/liability issue?

Yes, we consider this proprietary information to the original owner. If it is a private sale, then it is the current owner’s discretion to share the information.

Thanks for answering. That is basically what the dealer said as well.
While many don't like it, after working for various companies in my career, I fully understand this position.
