Tiffin vs HR

Remember HR has been taken over by Fleetwood. Quality on Tiffin should be better. Just my 02 cents

Holiday Rambler is a REV Group brand. Generally not considered in the same class as a Tiffin. Of course it still depends on whether you like the floor plan, but when you go looking, check the woodwork quality and the quality of the finishes in general. You will see which one has the quality you want/need. I will say unequivocally that Tiffin has the better after sale support.

Should be a lot of Newmars at the show, we will be there.

Newmar might have the floor plan you like, what sold us was comfort steer, once you have that you will not own a coach without it, we have the 4002, eating on the passenger side is a must for us, and the closer was the bunk sofa, down a regular sofa, 2 minutes it's bunk beds.

Just sayin .... Keep your eyes and mind open.

Agree with the others - today's REV Group HR Endeavor bears little resemblance to its former excellence. I'd go with the Tiffin, which I presume to be a Phaeton rather than the Red model.

You have been given some very good advice above. I also agree, look at some of the Newmar products as well as Entegra coaches. Newmar is considered the top of the RV quality chain and Entegra will give you more coach for your money.

If you truly want a quality Holiday Rambler, drop your model year back to 2009 or older. There are some very nice used Holiday Ramblers for sale and for less money you can step up the model lineup to an Imperial or Navigator.

I'd go for the bus, myself and even if I had to drop back some years to fit my budget.
We stopped off at Lazydays on our return trip north, this summer and spent some time looking at some of the higher end tag axle models.
The winner all around was a 16 45ft. Tiffin Allegro Bus and of course with a side radiator, which is a must have, for me.
I do believe they sold this one, since then.

Of that choice Tiffin for sure. WE love the 40AH and probably will upgrade to that model in the next year or two.

Guess I'll take the minority opinion on this discussion. When we were shopping for our new rig, our choices were Tiffin 40IH, Ventana 40xx (something) and the REV Discovery 40D LXE. We purchased the Discovery and have had no regrets. It was $35K cheaper than the Tiffin and $50K cheaper than the Newmar. Yes, I would have loved to have had the Newmar tag axle and comfort steer but my finances would only stretch so far. REV products are pretty much average of the industry for build quality and at least in my opinion offer decent bang for the buck.

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

I would go with the Tiffin.

Noticed you are kinda new on IRV2 and wanted to say hello!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

If your looking to compare coaches, Hershey is the place to do it. Plan on spending two days at the show, it's that big! There will be every model of every manufacturer on site to compare. DO NOT purchase a coach at the show, you will not get the best price. The show prices are a scam, wait a month or two after the show, then start pricing the coaches you are interested in, you will get much more realistic pricing.

I definitely wouldn’t take Entegra off the list just because Thor purchased them. They haven’t impacted Entergas manufacturing practices since the purchase. Remember Entegra has double the warranty of its competitors. I’ve been to the factory more than once and also Newmars. I am certainly not anti Newmar but to be honest I have been more impressed with Entegra’s manufacturing floor and processes. Yes, I certainly will consider Newmar also when I am ready for our next update.

Good luck and have fun with your search.

Newmar and Tiffin are at the top of the list but you may also look at Winnabego. They have been around a long time, and their their top of the line Grand Tour is a good rig.
