My 05 TS has a Cat C7 350, the major thing you want to do to keep this engine healthy is keep the HEUI system cool and clean. The best way to do this is with a full synthetic oil that is changed regularly. We used many different oils in my families trucking business but always seemed to migrate back to Rotella. We now full time but I change the oil yearly with Shell T6 that I usually get at Walmart or Amazon. They are usually the best prices I can find.

Over the years I have also became a believer in single vendor solutions. I have a Cat engine I run a cat filter. Other filters are just as good but old habits die hard.

If you take the time to read this link, https://540ratblog.wordpress.com/, you may consider quality over price.

Got my oil Education previously - Just looking for Pricing. But thanks.

Ran a heavy equipment Company for thirty years with no engine failures - we would bulk buy - and ran all the oils/engines, long and hard - Biggest thing is they never ran LOW.

As are the WalMart brands - so without seeing everything in the formula hard to just "PickEm"

amazon had T5 on sale for 49.99$ for 3 gallon.
I found one seller that had it on eBay for 45$.. but it went quick.

IMO, OCs every other year with T5 should be safe. Even conventional was fine at the 2 year mark when sampled.
