Assuming your in Rockwall - go see Alec at Quality Collision Repair Center just across Garland Rd and west of Garland High School. He did an excellent job on match painting a fiberglass front bumper repair and about 1/2 of our bay doors, to include clear coat.

Tell him Mark with the Georgie Boy front bumper and bay door repaint he did last spring sent you.

Recommending the painter that shows up when you ask the owner of the Las Jabias RV park in Mazatlan who he recommends. The guy does an excellent job. It's rare for US RVers to be hassled in Mexico and after 20 years of going there I have no qualms about the 3 days travel it takes to get to Maz. I'd be there now if it wasn't for the eye treatments I'm getting from the VA here in Tucson.

Here's my ad free blog article about it: Painting...

Sorry, it’s not the world we grew up in years ago. For the inexperienced traveler traveling in Mexico, I would think anyone contemplating it should think twice about making that trip. One wacko, and they also are here in the states, could cut your life short.

I guess it depends on how cheap you would want to get your coach painted.

Wrap gets recommended in each paint thread, but never by someone that actually did it, and the idea quickly disappears when someone spends 15 minutes researching it.

Initial cost, short lifespan are the key reasons.

Good for companies to do elaborate short lived (under 5 years) marketing messages, but not for standard RV usage.

Absolutely correct. I have wrap on my truck. Not full body but accents panels and such. I have to have them replaced every 3 years to keep them looking fresh. Otherwise, they harden, get brittle, break and stain.

I have read that wraps require a solid underlying surface so peeling clear coat and paint need to be sanded smooth and/or removed. Then only a short life if not sheltered.

They do a great job and will work with you on either duplicating the existing graphics or creating something unique for you.
Cost, expect to pay in the 20/25K range for a full body with graphics job.
I have used these people and am pleased with the results.

You do not state where in the country you are located. So how far are you willing to drive and leave you rig for a couple of weeks? Location, location, location....

And when he gets ready to sell his rig for 50k, he can always say that the price isn’t out of line because the paint job alone is worth 25k. What a deal!
