Something that is being missed. Many using tire covers are using them on large coaches with alloy wheels. The covers protect the aluminum wheels and keeps them looking nicer longer.
I have to ask of those who say there is no need to cover the tires. If you buy two brand new cars and park one in the garage everyday for 7 years and the other outside everyday for 7 years, which one will look nicer at the end of the 7 years. You can't deny that leaving things outside weathers them. Will it do enough to shorten the life of an RV tire, maybe not, but I would rather see if I can get a few more months/miles out of them. Farm tractors and equipment have tires that are twice as thick and rarely get driven on the highway at 60 -70 mph. Even a tire you can the cords on will perform well at low speeds on dirt for a long time, so I don't think it's a fair comparison.
