Something that is being missed. Many using tire covers are using them on large coaches with alloy wheels. The covers protect the aluminum wheels and keeps them looking nicer longer.

I have to ask of those who say there is no need to cover the tires. If you buy two brand new cars and park one in the garage everyday for 7 years and the other outside everyday for 7 years, which one will look nicer at the end of the 7 years. You can't deny that leaving things outside weathers them. Will it do enough to shorten the life of an RV tire, maybe not, but I would rather see if I can get a few more months/miles out of them. Farm tractors and equipment have tires that are twice as thick and rarely get driven on the highway at 60 -70 mph. Even a tire you can the cords on will perform well at low speeds on dirt for a long time, so I don't think it's a fair comparison.

When storing rig why not use the levelers and lift each wheel off the ground? I keep mine when in storage level and wheels up...

I treat my tires and wheels to make them look new and keep them looking new. Same way on the other equipment. I like the look of black tires and shiny wheels whether on the bus, ATV or any of the vehicles.

Per other comments I am not worried about the life of the tires just the appearance of the stuff I own. Same for all the washing and waxing.
