Tire Chains?

I don't think I could get chains on our rig if I wanted to. It's so tight that in order to take the back wheels off, you need to undo a couple of bolts and swing the side panel up and out of the way. The "Auto Socks" look like the only option. Just keep the fingers crossed and hope that I never have to use them. Sorta like insurance.

Bruce, I believe they were in the neighborhood of $200 for the 315/80 24.5 tires. One secondary advantage is that even for that size you can lift them with your little finger. I also put a set (smaller of course) on the toad rear axle tires for braking. Check Amazon.

For 295 R80 22.5 tires, they run about $225. Prices of smaller tires will be less. Their website provides a tool to determine which model you need for your tire and their store will list the price.

We are in the mountains all the time on our coaches.


we used cam lock chains and spider rubbers to suggest them up. I would always run them for 20 feet and retighten them so I had no chain slap. On our new to us 2006 endeavor we have quick fit chains I will still put spider rubbers to make sure their snug.
