Why do you suppose Michelin or any company would not put that in written form?? Why do you suppose they recommend just soap and water?? I wonder if it's because they know that tire dressings are cosmetic only and as was stated earlier, could draw some of the chemicals out of the rubber. I just won't use any product on my tires unless the tire manufacturer recommends it for improved reliability.

Or they just don't want to get into the endorsement game.

That might be true. However, if certain formulas were beneficial to enhancing their tires, they would more than likely want a part of that market by investing in the product they had confidence in. Many aftermarket products play on the emotions of prospective buyers. If there is a product on the market with promises of better performance or enhancement, it doesn't matter whether they work or not as long as the buyer feels better about it. We all fall victim to good sales pitches. It's just good marketing by the seller.

I find it interesting that most people on here use 303 for UV protection on their roof, but not for tires.
I use it on both, as well as on the diamond shield. In my opinion, it does a good job for it's intended purpose. -Paul

renew protect

I use the products from Renew Protect. You clean the tire and treat with Blak once a year. You can read about the product properties to protect the tires, makes them stay looking like new.
I follow the Blak with the product Satin for additions protection.

I've been using McKee's 37 Gloss Tire Gel which offers UV protection. Actually use a paint brush to apply to tires. Stuff works well.
