Tire Management

I have two questions about managing tires on our 2017 Winnebago/Itasca Sunstar 30:
1. What's the best way to weigh our RV and determine the proper tire pressure based on the weight (Goodyear G670 RV Unisteel - 245/70R19.5)? and,
2. What do you think of TPMS systems? EEZRV? Others?
Thank you!

When I bought my MH 8 years ago The second thing I bought for it was a TPMS. I decided on the TST 507. I love it.

BTW first thing I bought was a Progressive industries 50A EMS.

No amount of money can buy you an extra second of time.

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We're sure glad you joined the gang!

You can weigh it at most any truck stop, then go the Goodyear website and look at the inflation chart for the G670 tires. I would add 5PSI to their recommendations.

I bought the TireTraker system. They have a lifetime warranty, user-replaceable low-cost sensor batteries and at the time the lowest cost for a system with 10 sensors and a booster/repeater for the rear of the MH.

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

You can try Google or the search on this forum or you can read info and suggestions from a fellow RV owner and retired tire design engineer. Check out my blog (in signature below) You will find info that will help you learn and answer your questions. Note I try an not offer any brand specific suggestions as many times you will hear from people selling something. Others will of course normally suggest the brand they chose as few people are willing to admit they may not have made the best selection.

You need to make choices based on Your needs and your budget.
