Tire pressure monitoring systems
Here’s some red meat to chew on.
I’m in the market for a TPMS. So far I like Truck Systems 507 with flow through sensors. I also like the Tire minder system that displays through my iPhone. Does anyone have a recommendation? I don’t want to spend an arm and a leg but this is a safety play and I want something I can relay on. All comments will be much appreciated.
Thank you.
Rick

I have had a TST 507 for almost a year and a half. You are correct. It's a safety play. I rarely have the discipline to check my tire pressures in the morning pre-departure. So the TPMS gives me some peace of mind. I look at the display whenever I have the chance while I'm on the road. I have the flow-through sensors, so adding air is easy.

I've been using the TST 507 system with non flow through sensors for seven years and it has performed flawlessly. The non flow through are quick and easy to remove if a tire ever needs air. I did remove the "anti theft" shells and the sensors work just like a valve stem cap. I don't care for the extra length of the flow through type.

I have the TST 507 and it works great. they are the leader in TPMS systems.
the batteries are still the original at 3 years now., however i did just buy 10 new batteries. you will need the repeater hooked up no matter what system you purchase.

Anyone using the Tire Patrol system. Recently purchased a 2014 Entegra and the previous owner provided a complete uninstalled system, but no instructions. Have watched the utube videos but nothing like hearing from others who are using the system.
TIA

I have the TST-507 for a little over a year. The display for some reason quit charging. The company replaced it under their three year warranty. I'm very satisfied with their customer service and the performance of the unit.

Mine did the same thing. Twice!. I bought a cable with a 90 degree angle to prevent too much pressure on the circuit board.

I really like this system. It was half the price of TST and TireMinder. It has been trouble-free and reliable.

I have had the TST-507 for over twelve years and it does exactly what I want it to do. No complaints about it plus they have great customer service.

I bought the TST system about 7 years ago. The only issue I had was it occasionally dropped out. I added a repeater, and all is well.
I have the caps and not the flow thru as they were too long, sticking out too far on the front wheels.
I personally like the caps, versus the flow thru. The caps are very easy to remove, 10 seconds, if you need to add air. You really only need to check/add air twice a year.
Lastly, I know many like to have their phones do everything......I don't, I guess I'm a dinosaur. I want certain things to have a dedicated screen, like the TST unit. If you lose your phone, on your phone or the battery goes dead, you could be in trouble if a tire is going flat.

TST507 here also. Have had them for 3 years now and it works great. I don’t use, or care for, the flow thru design due to the overall size and complaints of slow air leaks from them. The color monitor is easily visible in direct sunlight.

Another vote for the TST 507 with 12 sensors, works flawlessly and with 12 sensors I can keep an eye on the PRE-TMPS toad (97 jeep wrangler)
