Tire Replacement for 43' class A. What's everybody using??
It's time to replace the tires on our 06 Navigator. It has Goodyear G670 296-80R 22.5 Load Range H now that are 6 years old. We've owned this coach a year but have no idea how it was stored prior to us buying it. I'm a michiline guy for my car but would like to hear what your opinions are on various brands. Never had to replace RV tires before now!!

I have been a Michelin RV tire fan for three sets. However next year will be looking at Toyo and Hankook. Less costly and good experiences reported here and from camping buddies.

Just do a search. This Tire question has been discussed to death and then some. Everyone has an opinion and experience to share.

I went through FMCA and got a full set of Michelin 295/80R22.5 XZA2 and saved about $250 per tire.

I was quoted $3158 for 8 Toyo M144 295/80R22.5 including FET, sales tax, mounting, balancing by a mobile service who will come to me to do it. Michelins are quite a bit more and do the same job. I have been running Toyo's on my Revolution for nearly 5 years.
I will sell the 8 used tires on craigslist for $800-$1000.

Friends with a 2006 Navigator put Michelin on there coach, I put Bridgestone on mine. However, as stated above, there are many other good brands many of which are less costly.

Ha, small error in their quote. Going to a tire store for $4369 OTD instead. Even with FMCA or Monaco International those Michelin's are way more than that. I don't really see the investment value in a tire that will be changed in 6 years with more than half of it's tread intact.

I was wondering about that. While I've always used Michelins for my car, I was thinking there has got to be other options out there for less money considering they will be replaced as you said in 6 years with half their tread. I'm not locked into Michelins for sure.

I can sell 8 old tires to truckers for a grand. Some are not particular about the tire age, just tread. The local guys and the gravel pit guys go through lots of tires. I was told today that 6 years is the DOT limit for commercial trucks which makes me wonder if it is wise to get new ones every 5 years or so as the used value would be higher. Regardless, the bottom line is going to be an expense of around 700-800 per year for tires with inflation, no pun intended.

I have sold multiple sets of pull offs from my coaches over the years. Craigslist. Usually get $50-150 tread and condition depending.
