The other thing is that the original RV came with 275/70s and this has 275/80s, which probably mean they were changed on the recall rather early. But, they are still 18 years old.

275/80R22.5 would have been the OEM size,
295/75R22.5 is the equivalent size, I used this size G399 Goodyear
Again make sure tires are load range H, no matter what size...
But the fact is you've got 18 year old tires that you have no history with....
If you do decide to run them, my $.02 is to air them up to 110 lbs, drive for 20/30 miles and stop, do a visual inspection, feeling if any tire is warmer than the others, any thing that doesn't look the same on all tires. Doing this for a few hundred miles...you may can roll the dice and be ok.
My luck would crap out.....
