I have a good friend who runs his own diesel truck shop. He in turn does business with a tire wholesaler who provides him with tires. I asked the wholesaler what to buy and he said all the big rigs are now running Yokohama tires. That's what I bought and the price was really good too.

An additional, the dealer also bought my old tires to be used on off road vehicles. Not a lot of money, but better than a sharp stick in the eye.

I bought 6 new Toyo's M154 245/75/22.5 this year to replace the Michelins that came on my 2005 Allegro Bay. I have a plan to replace my tires 2 at a time every 3 years. I will buy 2 new tires for the front and leave the 3 year old rears,3 years later buy 2 new fronts move 3 year old fronts to inside rear, 3 years later buy 2 new fronts move 3 year old fronts to inside rear. Now from this point I will never have tires over 6 years old and only have to buy 2 every 3 years.
