Hi All
Will be looking at replacing all tires next year
Any Shop recomendations in Oregon that also will place your old.tires on consignment?

And here is the tough one what to replace the firestone FS561 12R22.5 tires with?

Thanks

I have a different size, however I think you should look at Sailun truck tires.
I've had a very good experience with my Sailun tire since purchase in 2017. I don't know about the cost today, but in 2017 I paid $1,830 for 6 275/70R22.5 LR H tires ,balanced and mounted final bill.

Truck tire sizes most common ( 11R/22.5 & 12R /22.5 ) you should be able to find any number of manufacturers . Toyo , Yokohama , Bridgestone , etc.

Finding a tire store willing to give you any amount for your old tires will be a challenge .

Had a coworker back when I did
And he used a shop that consigned his old tires
Truckers buy them for trailer use and he was sent a check when they sold them

Gonna have to see if I can dig his number up...lost it last year...phone damaged

I had Les Schwab install mine. They didn't give me any credit for my old tires, but they did come down on the price. I installed the Toyo M170's

It seemed like years ago, Industrial Tire used to either have either a consignment or kind of a trade-in program. But I can't even remember what location it was and I'm not entirely sure if it was Industrial but that's what I seem to recall. They have multiple location in the northwest, WA and OR. Maybe somebody else who may have used them recently can shed more light if my recollection is correct or not.

My recommendation for a replacement would be the Sumitomo ST727 because of the value it represents.

My favorite brands for motorhomes are Toyo, Sumitomo, Yokohama, and Hankook. These have parent companies headquartered in Japan and Hankook in South Korea where the tires are engineered.

Sailun is an excellent tire. However, for political reasons I won't buy one because its parent company is headquartered in China (PRC). The Sailun commercial truck tires that are marketed in the U.S. are manufactured by a subsidiary in Vietnam that functions almost autonomously but still a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sailun headquartered in Qingdao, Shandong China (PRC). If you're okay with it, it's a great choice for a quality and well-engineered tire despite being designed and engineered in China. However, you may have trouble finding a 12R22.5 size in a Sailun as they are pretty scarce right now.

Just to give you a price comparison, I'll use tires-easy for comparisons purposes:

my first choice: Sumitomo ST727 -- $481.61

Sumitomo ST727 from the manufacturer's website ...go HERE

Some of Sumitomo's commercial truck tires are manufactured at their plant in New York outside of Buffalo but many are still being imported from Japan. I believe the ST727 is still coming from Japan but they are producing more and more commercial truck tires at their New York plant so you won't know for absolutely sure.

Hankook AH37 -- $554.60

Toyo M 170 -- $679.90

Michelin XZE -- $885.83

Sailun S606 -- out of stock

Yokohama 104ZR -- $654.96 @ simple tire

All are load range H / 16 ply rating and can be used on all positions.

Industrial Tire is a factory authorized dealership for Sumitomo if you wanted to contact them for a price. They have locations in Seattle, Tacoma, Portland, Roseburg, Medford, and Arlington east of TheDalles

If tires are 7 years or older they are worth (0).

put an AD on market place or craigslist in advance then have the buyer pickup tires at the tire shop the day they get changed

Have a friend that is a huge haul teamsters and he said container healers would snap them up
Guess they don't worry about tire age or shape
