Toad Vehicle not getting voltage from Motorhome

Need some help! I think I have a blow breaker/fuse in my 2006 Itasca Meridian 36g that provides the voltage to the 7 pin trailer connector to charge my toad. The inline fuse was blow on the wire that connects to the toad battery. Found out that the ground wire on the 6 pin connector had a bad connection which blew that fuse, so I知 thinking the same happened to a fuse on the Moho. If anyone could help that would be great, I知 traveling tomorrow from St. George UT to the central coast of california.

johnwebb23-

The typical place for the tow fuses on a Freightliner Winnie is in a plastic box inside a compartment on the driver-side, rear.

1) the electrical bay just aft of the wheels, or
2) in the rear of the compartment at the very rear of the coach. To open that compartment you remove a couple of screws on the bottom edge and open upward, as the hinge is on the top of the compartment cover. You'll need a stick to keep the cover open.

Diagrams for your coach here.
The specific diagram showing a fuse box, "VIEW AA," Sheet 1, Zone A-4, here.

This assumes that fuse is in that box. I'd have to dig deeper to make sure that is the case.

This also assumes your coach is a "36G" rather than an "36SG." It has its own diagram set, here.

What chassis? If it is like my Freightliner chassis, there is a 12 volt fuse under the dash center of the coach. I have pictures of mine if you would like.

Ok, lets try this again. I typed the entire thing one handed from my hospital room and when I went to hit the send button, I accidentally hit the exit from this site button!

I知 going to assume your coach has a Freightliner Chassis. If so these pictures should help. If you have some other chassis manufacturer, then the pictures will not help at all.
In general, the 12-volt power in the trailer plug, pin #4, is only alive when the coach ignition key is turned on. With the key turned on, a relay closes and power is supplied through a 30 amp fuse.

In my Fleetwood coach, there is a center console that swings outward. Behind it are fuses/relays for Freightliner stuff and fuses/relays for the Fleetwood side of the systems.

The first picture shows my console swung open, showing the electrical guts.
Second picture shows the Freightliner fuse/relay diagram that is on the inside of the fuse/relay cover. Note the location for the 30 amp trailer brake power fuse.
Third picture shows a close up of my Freightliner fuse/relay box. Check that 30-amp fuse.

If that fuse is OK, let me know, there could be another area where the trailer plug connections fuses and relays are located. But I知 pretty sure that fuse is the one.

Just my cure. I have a TS DPT, with a 22 equinox toad. They said when I bought the car it could be towed, well yes and no. It can be towed but there is a slight problem that even the Chevy people couldn't answer exactly why. You have to have the ingnition in the acc. mode as the computer needs to have power they said, but not why. After mine toasted a couple computers and lots of lost time and arguing with Chevy. I finally worked it out my self.
The typical charge line through the 7 prong x 6 prong plug and blowing fuses and other problems arising. I first found that the battery does not go completely dead, it just shut off the part that allows the car to start after about 3 hours of charging, on testing I found this occurred at about 11 volt on the battery, and the draw from the plug curcuit would take to much and blow the fuse. So the next try was, a 12vdc to 12vdc battery charger. It lasted for 3 hook up and blew. Then I got a idea, since this charger had fuses at both end of the wire and they were 15 amp and hadn't blow I cut the part that came with it out and attached it to the coach batteries direct, then to the car battery.
problem solved. I bought the charger on amazon, and they issued a credit since it was declared defective for the intended purpose. They have the larger clips and the wire package that has water proof plugs and it works perfect. The plugs are male/female so you can but not is careful blow a fuse. I have attached the way for over 6 months on the road with not one problem. There is a 15 amp waterproof fuse in both sides of the circuit. This was my fix and it works.
