Trip locations advice

Hello IRV2 friends. We're about to embark on our first 4 week trip with our new to us 35' Triple E Embassy. Heading down from Seattle beginning of March to Vegas on our first leg and asking for opinions on what highways NOT to travel on. Would prefer to keep the inclines into mountain ranges to a minimum. And if anyone can recommend a good place to park the motorhome in or near Vegas that would be much appreciated. We are towing a CRV so we'll use that to get around while we're there. Not much for gambling, but my wife has never been so it's time to experience Vegas as I haven't been there for over 30 years.
Then we'll head to the grand canyon and on to Phoenix. Eventually head back towards San Diego and then up the coastal California highway back to Washington. Any help, comments, advice, thoughts from any of you will be well read and appreciated. Happy Trails to all.

From San Diego to Los Angeles, there is really no coast to see. From Los Angeles to San Francisco, if you take the coast route, it's a miserable drive in an RV. The best coast route on the west coast is Oregon. I would head up I-5 to Lodi, head west to Petaluma. If you want to see San Francisco, you can drive in from Petaluma.

The coast route north from SF is okay, you'll be driving through the redwoods. I would concentrate spending your time on the Oregon coast. Four weeks sounds long, but your route is ambitious and will eat up a lot of that time in driving.

Don gave some good insight above. He is pretty much spot on.

In Vegas we stay at the Las Vegas RV Resort on Nellis Blvd. It's very clean and well kept. Very nice pool and hot tub. Nice bathrooms and laundry facility. It's only a 10 minute drive to The Strip or downtown to Fremont Street in your car. It is in East Las Vegas so not the best part of town but it's very secure with a guard shack that's manned 24/7. We've stayed at almost every RV park in Vegas over the years and we like this one the best. And it's only about $35/night.

The Oasis, south of The Strip is very nice too but rates are up near $100/night there these days. Parking spots at LVRVR are at least 4 times bigger than the spaces at the Oasis.

Sams Town KOA is also decent but there is no security gate so you never know what will walk through your campsite each night.
