If a fuel stop is that busy we go on. With a 100 gal. We can go up to 800 miles. Big truck fueling stations are noisy, busy, ground greasy, may have to go in twice to pay and pick up receipt.
Many independent truck stops are not as busy and usually have better prices.
Looking for large enough, non busy fueling stations are our priority.
Be flexible.

Thanks for all the replies. The coach is about 65 feet with toad and almost impossible to use the RV fueling pumps or backup at the truck islands to change lanes. Once I'm in a lane I'm in that lane until I leave. On another trip the fueling lanes were arranged at a 90 degree to the entrance so you couldn't see the lane until your in that lane. This was the only time I had to disconnect. At the fuel pump they were replacing wheels on a trailer. Yes...most of the time truckers are very courteous. I even remember one driver offering me a pair of gloves to fuel with. Final thoughts are to use the phone at the pump and appreciate "Murphy's Law".

I fuel at the newer gas stations. In, out, done, and save at least 15c per gallon (including discounts and card paybacks).
Have had times when the difference was over 40c! These places are busy for good reasons. $
