TV Ceiling Mounts

Hello everyone! I'm in the process of installing a new television at the front of out motor home. I have removed the old tube type TV (the monster) and would like to install a 42" Samsung in its place. I'm replacing the cabinets up front and am building new units to go around the TV. Everything will be attached to a solid oak plate on the top which will be attached to the ceiling frame. I figured this was the best way to start so I have a good solid platform to mount to. My new TV is lighter than the old tube type. I'm trying to find a good quality fold down TV bracket to mount it on. I am also going to add a latch system to hold the TV up in the closed position while driving down the road, so the only time it will be down is while it is sitting. Does anyone know of a good ceiling TV mounting bracket that I could use in this assembly? All help would be appreciated!

Thanks

Ken

I saw a ceiling mount system in the Tiffin Breeze over the bed. not a 42", but the idea intrigues me. They built a cabinet for the TV against the overhead. The TV is attached, face up, to the lid, the id has to gas springs on it to facilitate lowering and raising. The lid itself has latches to hold the TV in the UP position. In our first MH that was a project we were looking at, but traded it in instead. All the commercially available mounts 9 years ago were either not yet available or very expensive. Today there are a number out there, but since you have indicated a skill level that seems appropriate, I'd look at how Tiffin did it and see it that fits.

Our Itasca has a ceiling mount in the bedroom. Nice plastic case all around, and a latch that hold it up while traveling, although I see no reason it would need to be up while traveling.
I like the ceiling mount for the bedroom, you might want to see if you could find one of these to get ideas from.
