Typical cable adapter length?

Hi,

What is a good length for the cable TV cable at campgrounds?

Thanks

Way prior to having Directv (1996) I just bought a 50 foot coil that already had "F" connectors on each end. Not very expensive at Home Depot or Lowes. What I didn't need, I just kept coiled. It's way better to have it not need it then need it and not have it.

"Canuck53"....Pick up a couple of these. They screw on the coax cable and then just push on to the campground connector. Often the campground connector is buggered up and this makes for easy connecting, no threading.

Yeah, those "slip-on" connectors are one of the things that buggers them up since they use compressive force on the threads edge to make a good connection - thus scratching/rounding them.

Compressive force ????? Since you can press one on with your pinky, please explain how they damage threads, versus the hundreds of campers that cross thread them each year while trying to install a threaded cable end.. Your post makes no sense!

I always have a couple of 25 foot and one 100 foot cable and several barrels to hook them together when needed. And yes use RG6 cable only. Try not to exceed 100foot length as signal degradation will affect signal quality.

Why is it you feel a need to add a 'kicker'?.....

Dealer sold me a 50 foot when we bought our first MH. I have always regretted having all that excess. Never needed more than 25. Obviously from reading these answers some disagree.

I have about a 28 footer that I made up myself plus a shorter length about 8' or so just in case I need more. The place we go to frequently has the utilities at the front of the pad. (I also need a a 25' sewer hose- which I carry too).
