Ugly Shield in FL

Does anyone know if Ugly Shield in Fort Myers is still in business? I have been calling, leaving messages and posting on their online site. No one answers or replys.

I don't know this company.
I assume you have used them before and have an issue to discuss with them.

If not, then I would steer clear.
If you cant get them on the phone now - you wont have a very good experience with them if there is an issue with their work or product (after you've paid them).

One of the tests for using a company you find on the internet (maybe a place with really good prices on something you need) try calling the customer service number and see how easy or hard it is to get hold of someone there.

From what I see & hear, it's just a guy (Wayne Michalski) & his Dad, so maybe they are out of town or had a family crisis and simply aren't answering right now. Probably no regular staff to take phone calls and make appointments. Last post on their Facebook page was back in September of 2019.

I spoke with Wayne about a week ago so he is still in business. He does detailing and I was trying to set up an appointment. He was supposed to get back to me, however I haven’t heard from him. He is difficult to reach. He does excellent work and may be busy. That doesn’t excuse him from not calling back.

Great guy and company. Does excellent work at great price. Bet he's at the Florida RV show in Tampa...but that's no excuse for not having someone answer the phone.

Wayne called me back. It took a long while to reach him. Looks like I will have him remove our 3M shield. It's $950 to remove it. Ours is real bad. Can't stand looking at it any longer. Thanks for the replies.

It could be worse, a few months ago a guy was asking how to remove Rhinoliner the previous owner had sprayed on his front cap_.

Ugly Shield Removal

I just watched all of his (Wayne) videos on his website. There was a link to ask for a quote which I did. He called me within 45 minutes. Nice guy and I hear he does great work. He no longer works out of a shop but does it as a mobile business in the Fort Meyers area. Stay in any of the area campgrounds and he will come to you. $950 and takes a full day.

Wayne and his team removed my shield in Fort Myers in March. They did a fantastic job. Very professional great people. Glad I had him do the work. He is very busy and hard to get scheduled. I was in the area for a while and he had a cancellation. He does sell his products and the videos he has are great for DIY. He also has high tech equipment for wash and detail. They did my entire coach. It never looked better.
