Upgrade your EZ PASS with a New MH

I just figured out that I need to get a higher class EZ PASS for my new MH.
The 2007 had a single axle in the rear, my new MH has a tag axle.
So I had to go to my state's EZpass website and buy a new transponder for the 2020. It was only $10 and it’s on the same account as the old one. All the money in the account can be immediately used for the new transponder. So once you get the new one you can delete the old transponder.
This is using the Pennsylvania EZPASS on-line commercial account for RVs, it pretty easy to do. I would think other states do it the same.

Upgrade your EZ PASS with a New MH

I just used my toad’s EZPass in my coach and then put it back in the car if we are in an area where an EZPass is needed for local travel.

Nowadays the toll booths count axles. I’ve never been mischarged when using the EZPass in either the coach or the car. Plus with having just the one EZPass, I don’t have to worry about putting the car’s EZPass in a bag so i don’t get charged for the car when it’s being towed.
