Upholstery work on captains chairs, question about seat belts

We have changed out the standard furniture on our coach this year which included a new recliner and sofa. We ended up going with Lazyboy furniture and after the first of the year we are having our captains chairs recovered. Our current "leather" is brown and our new furniture is black.

Question is if it is easy to replace the seat belts from brown to black and if so, do I go to Tiffin to get the new ones? I would appreciate any thoughts on this.

Manufacturer of the seats should be on them so skip the middleman and go there. Being cheap I’d try dying the brown to black first.

Tiffin doesn't make seat belts - they just buy them and install. Just find ones of the size & color you like and bolt them in place of the old ones.

Tiffin might save you some time shopping and have the parts you need in stock, but expect to pay a premium price.

Maybe something like this would work?

Measure how long they are and go to a car/truck junk yard. Should be able to find some god ones cheap.

Thanks so much for taking the time to reply. I have to say that I never thought of using dye to solve my issue, that is genius. Think I will start with that and see how it goes.

Genius??? No, just frugal which sounds better than cheap.

I hear you, I like frugal opposed to cheap as well. Great idea and thanks for sharing.

2 things mentioned that I would be careful about. Buying used may get you a belt that has already been stretched by an accident. Be very careful about using dye. It may break down the fibre integrity. Great suggestions to save some money, but for safety I would buy new. Just my 2 cents.

Replacement seat belts really aren't all that expensive. They would cost a lot less than you're probably paying for the upholstery.

Here's an outfit that sells a wide range of belts in various colors. I've bought from them in the past:
