We se "Fix My RV" in our campground doing repairs all the time. Haven't hear any complaints but then didn't ask.

It surprises me to hear Forced air heater manufacturers would build their heating units with plastic squirrel cage blower fins, you would think metal would be a no brainer, I did some work my 2000 Safari Zanzibar heater and I remember it having metal fins, plastic fins must be a cost reduction.

Outbound:

I was told that heater manufacturers (including Ford in-dash) are all moving to plastic squirrel cages because the blower motors are so cheap now days that they can't handle heavier metal cages. Throws out the motor bearings.

Stuff just gets cheaper every year, right?

OP, sorry this comment is not helpful to you. Squirrel cage replacement is easy, though..

At a GUESS. and I stress that word GUESS the blower broke. The squirrel cage. That piece of plastic was a blower fin/vane/whatever you call it.

If you can get it out and if the cage can be removed from teh motor (not all can) you MIGHT find a replacement at auto-parts-r-Us. but I would not count on it. YOu might do better at an RV boneyard or worst case Camping World.

Be sure that you gel ALL the pieces of the fan out. They will be all over in there. Look from the inside as well as the outside. Took me 30 minutes to fish all the pieces out with a long forceps.
