Used motorhome parts, junk yards

I bought a 2004 30 ft Winn Sightseer and it doesn't have leveling jacks. I want to install some and I am very capable of doing that. But the cost of a decent set of new jacks is too high to justify on a coach of this age in my opinion so I wanted to buy a used set. However I am finding it very hard to find MH Salvage yards. I know they have to exist with all the coaches that get wrecked and damaged beyond repair. Does anyone know of a place like that in the SE states around SC and have a contact number or address for them?

You might post your location

Visione Auto Mart in Kentucky has a large salvage yard that I've gotten some things from. They also list on Ebay.
Used RV Parts Repair and Accessories Visone RV, RV Salvage Parts, Motorhome Repairable Wrecks, Used RV Parts Monaco, Prevost, Allegro, Holiday Rambler, Alfa, RV Junk Yard - Dismantler | visonerv.com

I have found that the prices are higher then you'd expect, but in most cases they can get what the current market can support.

X2 on Visione. I was there yesterday to obtain some new storage doors for my coach after an unfortunate run in with a hidden obstacle on the side of the road. Very interesting place, in some respects sad to see so many wrecked and burned out coaches, makes one think again about fire for sure. They have a very effiecent organization with a huge shop where they pull totaled coaches in and dismantle them to remove all remaining useable pieces. need an engine, transmission etc they have it. need interior pieces, seats, couches etc they have it too. No they are';t cheap, but if they have what you need, given how hard parts are to find for older MH then you can get it there. I was very surprised at how clean, organized their facility is. They also do body repairs and are installing and painting my new (used) doors for me. Coach will be ready next week, will let everyone know how they turn out.

I have an extra AC condensor in my storage bay, as my original's high pressure side fitting was a bit nicked and could leak in the future. I DID NOT want to deal with no dash air on a vacation. Figured it was a good investment, as I was buying other parts at the time.

Please, let us know how your repair and paint job went. Also, did you feel you got a good job for the money.

Follow up, picked up my MH from Visione on Saturday. The repairs are perfect, paint is excellent. If you know where to look then you can detect a variance in the shade of the silver paint, but 10 year old paint is hard to match. Accent strips and graphics are as original.
Are they expensive yes, but then they were 3000 below another bid so maybe not so much.
Also look at a couple of recliner they had in the warehouse, and almost brought them home to replace the couch but decided to wait.
Overall I recommend them, if you need a part, call them.

I called Visione before and they were very helpful but a good ride being that for the money I wanted to see what I was getting. I also called Colaw and they too were very helpful. I told the man I was interested and he said he needed to go look to be sure he had a complete system and he would call me back. Had not called and I have been pre occupied with other things and hadn't called him back yet. I have his number and will talk to him again when I get back to messing with the MH again.

I'm right down the road from Colaw and love to just walk their yard of salvage RV's. They have everything and then some!

Search "Domenic (sp?) Refer Fires" and you'll see why. Almost any "dual fuel" refrigerator manufacturer had huge issues with their units bursting into flame.

I wouldn't own a coach with a non-residential refrig ~ even if boon docking a lot!
